It may be the car was IVAd and isn't Euro type approved, so might explain why it wouldn't be equipped with auto level. Only a couple of models were TAd without levelling - think a 911 variant was one - but it's in the lighting regs for UN-ECE and TA that they require both and that's been the case back to year dot of HID introduction in the late 90s. Hence my 2002 FE and all other D2s with factory HID have both fitted way before 2004 when that Evo was built

My 1998 PF S8 had HID's and washers and auto-levelling.

2016 Volvo V40 T5 Cross Country (4WD) with ALL the toys including adaptive cruise etc. etc. Osmium Grey with Blonde/Charcoal leather interior. Polestar performance "optimisation". (A much rarer model than a D2 S8 by the way!) Oh, and a brand new engine at just under 30,000 miles on the factory one!
Finally: gone, but not forgotten.....
1998 D2 PF S8. AgateGrey/Platinum. Every option (I think) except electric rear seats, tiptronic steering wheel, ski hatch, towbar & dimming door mirrors.
e.g. Cruise control, NavPlus/TV, Bose, GSM, Xenons, Solar roof, Parking sensors, Alcantara/leather everywhere of course. (internal dimming mirror added later)
1998 (very early) Ford Focus 1.8 Zetec; ABS/TCS, Heated screen/mirrors, Aircon, Auto-dim mirror, Leather, Trip computer, Cruise control, OEM Ford SatNav with CD changer.
And before that a lot of Rover 800s, a few oddities, a lovely Triumph Dolomite 1850HL with Overdrive and way back in my schooldays an Austin Seven aka Mini 850!

I changed headlight bulbs on my 4.2 V8 FSI yesterday. The offside can be changed in situ, the driver's side required moving the airbox a little out of the way. My garage charged me £16 for the work, I don't have the tools to do it myself, and for that price it did look a bit fiddly even if I had them

Audi however do quote a fortune however, not sure what they use the time on.....

Obviously the V10 may be different, I haven't seen one under the bonnet.....

Default Easy way to replace headlight bulb

Remove 4 screws which holds the front wheel arch linner,,,shift the linner on side (no need to remove it) remove headlight back cover, remove bulb put the new one in.. job is done In in less than 30min for both sides.
