Three possible answers here,
Does the clutch engage when you switch between economy mode and normal? Is the system pressured? Could the pump be U/S? VagCom can test the clutch working if you have access to it. Quick fit do an aircon service whereby if they can't reduce the temperature by 10% or more you get it free. Give them a try first which will bowl out under pressure if it works after they have finished

The clutch dose not engage when I go from econ to normal.
I know the A/C has a pres switch on it to protect the pump if the pres is to low, but if I cant find the LOW pres valve I cant see how I can check the pres.? I did have VAGCOM till I dropped my laptop a week ago. I will have to try and steal a mate laptop to check the clutch. Cheers for your help Conan (the Librarian). |
