Default Wheel ET ??

Hello all

Iam thinking of changing my 5 spoke 19" sport wheels for a set of 20's

What ET will I need to fill the arches more than the standard wheels ??

Is it the ET that makes the wheels stick out a little further ?

Are 19" standard wheels ET 35 ??

What are S8 wheels for a D3

Are A8 D3 wheels 5 x 112 ?

On the 20's what size tyres would you go for, bearing in mind I eventually want to lower my car

Want the new wheels to sit right on the car and fill the arches, nothing looks worse than wheels that do not fill out the arches

Cheers for any advice

Yes, 5x112
look at this picture, this is 9'' rim, 20s, ET28, smaller number further they stick, plus rear is lowered by 10mm, now the question is how much further you want to go, and they are 255 tyres so 275 will look slightly chunkier and closer to the arch due to the extra width and slightly higher sidewall

I wouldn't be surprised if the ET number, like 25 are actually the mm's from the center of the wheel to the fitting point as thats how ET is measured and means, distance off the wheel's center

front is 35 and it really needs to be changed to 28 as the rear, but front seats 15mm lower

Hope that helps, I spent lots of time on it when choosing my wheels and knowing very little about the width, et, etc
