Default Save 56% in Petrol Costs!!

A Blogger called Grant says his truck is a gas guzzler and when he found out he was doing 13.6 miles to the gallon, needed to find a way of reducing his costs.

Now he thinks he's found a solution that gives him a 56% better gas mileage and saves him around 56% in petrol costs.

So basically what he did was turn his vehicle in a 'water-hybrid' using distilled water and a teaspoon of baking soda.

'Tickling' the water with 12 volts of electricity, Grant claims separating the hydrogen from the oxygen means he can get more 'burn'.

Formerly getting a 30% burn, it meant 70% of the fuel was shooting out of his exhaust pipe. Now he believes his new system is resulting in a 100% burn and saving loads of fuel.

He claims it's the trick the oil companies don't want any of us to know. But now we do - cheers Grant!

Disclaimer - I'm not a mechanic by any means so only try this at your own risk lol

So, you pour distilled water into your petrol tank and then apply 12v using 2 electrodes to the petrol/water mix? Is that right? I'll buy that. Let me nip outside and try it.......
I'll report back.

Now remember that my school days are many, many (in fact a lot of) years ago but my chemistry knowledge tells me that this is rather feasible. It works on the theory of charged water being molecularly polarized and becoming unstable in the infrared spectrum.
Of course one has to be particularly careful when propounding such wonderful ideas because of the explosive danger that wet petrol and electricity causes.
This hospital that you are going to, do they have any spare beds?

We get loads of these poxy snake oil sellers looking for govt support/testing of their products. Most of them have no idea of the theory they're supposed to be pedalling

No evidence any of them deliver anything although the claims for co2 savings are always extraordinary! What they do to tailpipe pollutants like NOx and PM hasn't been measured...

What a load of bullsh@t. I he was only burning 30% of fuel and 70% was going out of a tail pipe it would have made more sense to use condenser to collect that fuel and reuse it, engine actually burns near 100% of fuel, just have poor efficiency converting it to mechanical energy. If he said engine is 30% efficient he would not have been far off but the losses are not because fuel does not get burned but mostly because of wasted heat that goes in exhaust and radiator and some wasted energy in reciprocating action and friction etc.

And if he wanted to split enough water into H2 and O2 to use it as fuel and not only as burn conditioner he would need a small power station with him
