OK, I took a chance and replaced the two MAFs, got a good deal on two brand now Denso. After the cleaning a couple of weeks ago I noticed it should be possible to replace the MAFs without tearing out the wheel house lining. It worked but it required some fiddling.

New MAFs are giving reading close to the requested values. Not sure if it will solve the EGR errors but it's not that unlikely.



I think I'll close the case as of now...

Closed case my a**... Problem back today when driving. Now no clue. Ride ended in a limp mode, not obviously related to this
