Another epic WTIW thread and the results are stunning as always. Great work MJ

Default 100% quality as always

I was flabbergasted looking at all those photos.
I'll even admit to feeling quite excited even though it's not my car.
Such attention to detail and the result of countless hours of hard graft.

I'd tip my hat to you (if I wore one). I'll stop now or else it will get boring with all these accolades. I salute you from afar, MJ.

The new owner is me. I have been looking for an S8 for a while and when this one popped up last year I realised that this may be the only opportunity to acquire one.
The only reason I took this on was because of MJ. Her knowledge, her OEM+ and OCD+ approach were the deciding factors. Even so, I never expected the level of detail that was put into this car. High praise is not high enough.

Considering the amount of time MJ put into this car I am not really sure I should say it is mine, though I have the receipt to prove it! I cannot thank MJ enough for what she has done to transform this car from the sorry state it was in.

Thanks also to Nicola at fifty five details for the paint correction and resurrection. https://www.facebook.com/FiftyFiveDe...0393412742676/

Thanks to Mike (CTL) for some additional wrenching and also trying to sell me the PF Silver S8 MJ has in the workshop! This one will turn out to be a fantastic PF S8 once complete. http://forum.a8parts.co.uk/showthrea...ighlight=exxon

I think Ronin got in the act as well.

But when all is said and done, it is all down to MJ.

Upon collection, the drive back to Gosport tootling along the south coast was just effortless and sublime. My A8 had been off the road for some years and I had forgot how cossetting these cars are, far better than my 3 year old 'Ultimate Driving Machine'.

As this is an FE I will try to keep it as original as possible The only current option exception is the auto dimming rear view mirror.

Congrats!

Looks like I'm the last man standing with a 2.8... but as they say... A8 only with a 2.8!

There are few things in life as pleasurable as a drive back home from MJs with your "new" 8 . Every time I get in mine it reminds me how much better she made it

I fully accept how little I know about these magnificent machines, but the scale of my ignorance grows with every WITW...along with the to-do list!

Great news Paul. So pleased it's gone to a forum member. Now get it along to one of our get togethers and watch all the green looks it will get.

Yes do. I'm sure I'm one of many who'd love to clap their eyes on your newly minted 8
