I was flabbergasted looking at all those photos.
I'll even admit to feeling quite excited even though it's not my car. Such attention to detail and the result of countless hours of hard graft. I'd tip my hat to you (if I wore one). I'll stop now or else it will get boring with all these accolades. I salute you from afar, MJ. John G

But when all is said and done, it is all down to MJ. Upon collection, the drive back to Gosport tootling along the south coast was just effortless and sublime. My A8 had been off the road for some years and I had forgot how cossetting these cars are, far better than my 3 year old 'Ultimate Driving Machine'. As this is an FE I will try to keep it as original as possible  The only current option exception is the auto dimming rear view mirror.
