Default Front struts, welding.

Bit of advice really, going to get some spare struts and want to weld a base on to accept a platform for air bags.

Can the struts be stripped or de-pressurised so to speak so I can weld to it safely. Are they gas or oil filled?

Thanks.

Which model are we talking about? Generally all shocks have oil in them and most have gas as well.
