Default For sale - used Audi S8 D2 rear calipers (need a refurb!)

Removed recently from my 2002 S8, these will ideally require a refurb. The braking was fine when on the car but the bleed nipples are completely seized.

One if if he pistons is fairly well extended so I’m not sure if the rubbers etc will require changing on this or both of them? If you’re handy with some tools maybe you can overhaul them your self?

Considering the price of new ones I think £40 plus postage for the pair is reasonable - if not then let me know and I’ll use them as nice Audi weights

Collection also welcome.

Cheers
Rich

Seized nipple is what did for one of my rear calipers not that many years back.
Can't recall how much a new one was, but while not cheap isn't wasn't enough to look at rescuing and refurbishing the old one so it just went for scrap.

Ok fair enough - thanks for the heads up. I was hoping it could be an easy fix for someone with the know how and could save a few pennies instead of buying new.

CALIPERS ARE NOW RETRACTED FROM SALE

Oh, I didn't mean to say don't bother selling! Just that it was not worth it for me. Someone may be interested in having a go.

Oh, ok

Well, I’ll see how I get on then. I was going to get these refurbished, but by the time we realised the nipples were stuck I couldn’t afford to wait for them to be done and ordered up a new set as I was going down the coast with the family and needed the car. Ideally I should have sent them off with the front Brembo’s.

I may look to get them done and keep them for spares
