Thank you for the invitation MJ, I would love to see your workshop.
And thank you all for the suggestions. Some lovely places for sure.

The route map is superb MJ. I have been looking at it and considering what to do

I believe I will head down that way and go back north with you guys.

Johann,
Looks like a good decision.
You'll be with folk that can pass pointers as you travel.
AND you will see MJ's collection.

What are the odds for the cars to be of different colours?

Looking regularly at the market for S8 in Sweden and Germany. Most are black or silver

I've almost finished deciding my stops for the journey. I'm going to have to make two stops on account of my son so won't be able to join you for lunch.

I expect to stop at Hopwood Park on the M42 and then at Woodhall on the M1 so limiting my driving time to about 1.5hrs each time. not sure how best to join the convoy, perhaps try to pick you up as I leave Weston (M5 J21) I may then be able to rejoin the convoy as I leave Woodhall depending on how long each stop takes. Just have to time it right!

I was going to suggest a stop at Strensham to meet Bert. Would that work for you instead of Hopwood or is that a bit soon? Alternatively we could all stop at Hopwood and then carry on up for lunch? Hopwood is nicer than Strensham anyway, and if we're not doing lunch until 13:30 we have plenty of time.
