Having acquired the FL I sold those 17s and used PF 18's (not sure how I acquired those...) as winter wheels until I got my first set of 20's. At which point the FL Avus 18's became winter wheels.
(And eventually through a series of deals the PF Avus 18s and 20s both went and I acquired my current diamond-cut 20s and shod them with the dual-compound Michelin PS4S tyres)
Happy for the correction, but to be clear - You bought the FL S8 with 18" FL Avus on, but removed those to run PF Avus over winter ?

Exactly. Not the winter I bought it (Jan 2013 IIRC), but I had a PF set by November 2013 with winter tyres on.

I've still got most of those tyres, now on the FL 18" Avus.

We had for several years, a family situation which meant that we HAD to be able to run either of our cars in almost any weather. So both the S8 and the Focus had separate winter wheels.
Once you get into the habit you keep it, there are quite a few advantages despite an initial outlay and some ongoing costs.
We no longer have that family constraint, but the Volvo will probably be moved to Michelin CrossClimates when the current tyres are reasonably worn.

2003 D2 FL S8. Irish Green Pearl/Beige. Solar sunroof, auto-dim mirrors, electric rear seat functions, ski hatch retrofit; extended leather. Aftermarket DVB-T, reversing camera and full XCarlink (Bluetooth etc.).
2016 Volvo V40 T5 Cross Country (4WD) with ALL the toys including adaptive cruise etc. etc. Osmium Grey with Blonde/Charcoal leather interior. Polestar performance "optimisation". (A much rarer model than a D2 S8 by the way!) Oh, and a brand new engine at just under 30,000 miles on the factory one!
Finally: gone, but not forgotten.....
1998 D2 PF S8. AgateGrey/Platinum. Every option (I think) except electric rear seats, tiptronic steering wheel, ski hatch, towbar & dimming door mirrors.
e.g. Cruise control, NavPlus/TV, Bose, GSM, Xenons, Solar roof, Parking sensors, Alcantara/leather everywhere of course. (internal dimming mirror added later)
1998 (very early) Ford Focus 1.8 Zetec; ABS/TCS, Heated screen/mirrors, Aircon, Auto-dim mirror, Leather, Trip computer, Cruise control, OEM Ford SatNav with CD changer.
And before that a lot of Rover 800s, a few oddities, a lovely Triumph Dolomite 1850HL with Overdrive and way back in my schooldays an Austin Seven aka Mini 850!

Default To sell or not to sell, that is the question....

I have a mint set of Avus wheels (plus tyres, if required...), which I bought this year for Herman's summer role as a "Ronin lookalike" at this year's car events @ London Classics (see photo), Carfest North, and our annual meet last month.

I wasn't planning on getting rid of them, as they've sort of grown on me, but I could be persuaded to part with them, if you're looking for a really mint set of Avus 18s.

I have a set of 18" W12s already shod with Michelin PA4s, so they'll probably go back on the car instead come wintertime, and I could put my diamond cut 20" FE wheels back on in the meantime.

I’d normally refurbish whatever I got albeit they are for winter tyres rather than show car use.

Do you have a price in mind?

Not really, as I said, I wasn't planning on selling them. PM me if you are really interested - and bear in mind they wouldn't be coming off until August at the earliest, after Carfest North is over.
