Apologies Andrew, I now see it was you who started the "confirmation" process.

It was only a suggestion to make it easier/clearer, feel free to change the wording or do it another way.

End of April sounds good to me.
I think I have to contact the Ednam House in the next days about my reservation, because I cancelled my booking very early when the shutdown in Germany was decided.
I have to discuss with Sebastian if he is able to join the meeting too.
I'm looking forward to see you next year.

Regards Stefan

I think we'll be in the hands of Nicola Sturgeon!

We had a holiday booked in Scotland at Easter (cruising around the Western Isles, rolled forward from 2020 already!) and have just rescheduled that for 2022!
The company organising appear to be assuming that March and probably early April will still be closed or tightly-constrained so we can do that without penalty.

On a more positive note, most of us will have been vaccinated by then.

So, on principle (and in my case assuming that MJ can "fettle" my S8 with it's leaky oil cooler beforehand) we're still up for a late April meet.
That's assuming that the rules in Scotland at the time allow it and allow an adequate level of social interaction.

I think that'd be a necessary but not sufficient condition, as there's some (still developing) evidence that you can still catch and transmit the virus, even if you have individual immunity.

I'm pretty sure the Scots government will base its guidance on a combination of both of these factors, as well as the likely loading/overloading of the local NHS at that time.

I know David is planning on getting an update from the hotel, which he may already have done this week.

We will hopefully be there but, as we’re dog walkers, we may not be welcome (see earlier Cobid 19 rants!).

I am honestly thinking that it is a dead duck.
Sorry all but with the three new more virulent variants I seriously believe that restrictions are with us until mid year.
I have had my first Pfizer vaccination without any apparent side effects apart from now speaking Mandarin.
