Clear the faults and see if they come back.

Or can you monitor lambda sensor activity with your version of VCDS?

If not you can by a simple Draper lambda sensor tester for about £10-£15, or if you are handy with a soldering iron you can build a better one for about £5. Details of a self build one are on my website under Tech Info.

Thanks for the info .I will reset the codes later and see if they come back .

not knowing the location of the sensors ,do you think its could be possible that the wiring could have been damaged by running over a lump of ice which i managed to find within a deep snowbank during the bad weather ?

The wiring, lambdas and cats could have been damaged as they're all in and around the exhaust region... Lambdas are up on top if I remember rightly so should be safer, but you never know.

I reset the errors and took it for a small squirt around town , a bit of *cough* fast driving ,binary accellerator driving (on full ,off full) ,pot holing ( normal road driving around here) and gentle cruising ..they didnt come back .Think i will keep an eye on these.
