If someone has an 'old' ECU and 'new' ECU I will happily open them up and see if we can update an ECU via. a software flash only?

Ooooooh....The tiptronic buttons are perminantly live....Like the sound of that. Far too often i feel going round a roundabout i wanna drop a gear and kick out....also i guess it'll auto change back up after a while !
The 432 part does limit the maximum gear rather than selecting that gear though...so is kinda useful on hills as it can still drop, but then i guess the auto box would do that anyway ! @doc you think it would mean desolidering the chip to flash it....Thats a bit more work than inserting a chip into a socket or even better flashing via the port. Still i guess someone could do a nice line in sending flashed ecus for swap over on deposit basis ???

Just rang up Audi as was curious to what price it could be. They want £706! If only A8 Doc could get what he needs from it then we could return it
