Continuation of S8 Newbie Help from TSN
Hi again
It looks like I've moved to the A8 Forum now! I'll just explain the original post quickly in case you haven't seen it. The cd multichanger isn't working due to an ipod being connected and then removed by the previous owner. I've finally managed to remove the Nav Plus (Do not buy the Halfords removal tools! NOT GOOD) and have found a '2 Connects' box with a 9 pin din connector at one end and a 14 pin flat black connector on the other. I am assuming the 9 pin din is the ipod connector in the glovebox I have found. The flat 14 pin connector is connected to the cd side of the red block connector which connects to the back of the Nav Plus Unit. I don't know if something is missing or I can't see it (It is 8.30 PM and pitch black!) but I'm not sure where the 14 pin connector goes. Anybody have any ideas as the wife is starting to complain she can't listen to her cd's in the car  Thanks

All the ipod equipment you have, right upto the connector on the Sat Nav I would take out and bin/sell/put safe somewhere (delete as you will). You need to have a good grovel around in the space behind the Satnav and find the original CD changer cable. The factory CD cable is bound in the other audio looms, so it can't have gone too far, I'm sure of it....

Thanks for your response.
I've now managed to have a good look in the light of day and the wiring has been modified. I have attached a couple of pics showing the arrangement. Is this something I can do myself or will I need an audio specialist? By the way anybody know what the Nokia box is?

The Nokia box is a handsfree kit. Does the car still have the cradle, as I don't think that one is handsfree.
You could remove it and the adapter loom it's wired into (the one with the two red ends) and that may fix the problem. Or at least make it easier to diagnose. Just unclip the connectors and put the original 3 blocks into the head unit again.

Yup, I agree ^^^^^^^ - Remove the bypass loom withthe two red connectors, and instead plug the blue/yellow/green connector straight into the Nav unit. This will almost certainly bring your CD changer back to life.
The nokia is a hands free kit, but I suspect the computer-lan type RJ45 connector either does, or did go to a cradle. Unless you want to preserve the nokia functionality, then it could be removed if you trace the various wires and remove them too....
