V10 Engine out
So after much deliberation and searching for a dreadful, intermittent rattle from the rear of my engine it has been narrowed down to either something to do with the oil pressure or a chain tensioner, with a possibility the engine will need to come out to solve.
If it does have to come out (which if proven to be essential i’m fine with) what else should I do to maximise the opportunity. Engine currently approaching 170k. Approx 80k ago the power steering pump was replaced so perhaps that again? The ancillary/in & out pipes were replaced later, approx 30k ago so they should be ok. Anything spring to mind that I should be asking the garage to check? Just to be clear, other than the noise the car is pulling like a train, especially after the decoke and flap delete 20k ago.

pre-emptively I would do all the lambda sensors if its affordable, and check the flexi's on the exhaust.
