Question Oil pressure warning light?

This came on after an hour or so driving. Pulled over to see if there was any leakage or anything obvious, then tentatively drive home. Came on again after 10 mins. Scanned with OBD11, and no faults found.

Can anyone tell me what typically triggers the warning?

Thanks,
Zip

Typically its because the oil pressure switch is broken. It won't show any codes because its a warning, not a fault. If the engine sounds ok then its just a switch issue. They fail often enough for me to replace them as a matter of course when the engine is out.

Airbox out and you can get a long 24mm socket on to the sensor. There isn't enough room to get a ratchet on the socket I have (chassis leg in the way) so I ground flats in to it and use vice grips on the socket.
