excuse my ignorance, I don't have D3, but isn't it possible to reset oil change interval manually without VAG COM on D3?

I have VAG COM, but after I change oil on my D2 I always reset it manually without bothering with connecting computer: http://resetservicelight.com/reset-s...cator-audi-a8/
