How about the opportunity to utter that phrase in the presence of MJ, whilst not having a big smug grin on your face because the rest of us are all jealous of you.

That almost trumps my historic prise-ing. . .er winning of an actual real five pounds off of I.T. (a staunch Yorkshireman) at ADI the year before last which involved a bet about the colour of MJ's "Grey S8" ahemmmm

Ford Capri Laser: noisy, slow, thirsty, bouncy, no buttons but it always sounds like it’s REALLY trying and I can’t help but chuckle when it parps and boings along. And people of a certain age stare at it with a wistful look in their eyes that clearly says…I had one of them. And I sold it because of the kids

Didn't that particular fiver immediately move elsewhere? Can't recall the exact details....

Though if we're getting competitive I wouldn't fancy my chances in any Audi quiz against a team comprising MJ, IT and you!

2003 D2 FL S8. Irish Green Pearl/Beige. Solar sunroof, auto-dim mirrors, electric rear seat functions, ski hatch retrofit; extended leather. Aftermarket DVB-T, reversing camera and full XCarlink (Bluetooth etc.).
2016 Volvo V40 T5 Cross Country (4WD) with ALL the toys including adaptive cruise etc. etc. Osmium Grey with Blonde/Charcoal leather interior. Polestar performance "optimisation". (A much rarer model than a D2 S8 by the way!) Oh, and a brand new engine at just under 30,000 miles on the factory one!
Finally: gone, but not forgotten.....
1998 D2 PF S8. AgateGrey/Platinum. Every option (I think) except electric rear seats, tiptronic steering wheel, ski hatch, towbar & dimming door mirrors.
e.g. Cruise control, NavPlus/TV, Bose, GSM, Xenons, Solar roof, Parking sensors, Alcantara/leather everywhere of course. (internal dimming mirror added later)
1998 (very early) Ford Focus 1.8 Zetec; ABS/TCS, Heated screen/mirrors, Aircon, Auto-dim mirror, Leather, Trip computer, Cruise control, OEM Ford SatNav with CD changer.
And before that a lot of Rover 800s, a few oddities, a lovely Triumph Dolomite 1850HL with Overdrive and way back in my schooldays an Austin Seven aka Mini 850!

How about the three of them versus the rest of us on the Saturday evening at the annual meet. The only condition is that we disqualify anyone whose username is less that three characters long. That way, we might score a few points.

First of all thanks for all your help and thoughts! really good stuff!

Guys the front one is working perfectly again i got a double adapter for it and it lights up with a power light, so i know if the socket is working seems all good and is a nice snug fit has x2 ports

However! the rear one is not working! any ideas???

I replaced the rear one myself (oh knows!) with a prefacelift one in the same lovely shade of beige WJ, when i bought the car as a previous passenger kicked off one of the air vent selectors bits of plastic foolishly i have thrown the old one away thinking job done, i bet it still worked!, but never thought to test the new one really mainly cosmetic reasons, the red ring lights up but no power coming from it, have i got something wrong with the cable possibly? is it dead, is it possible to swap just the power bit out with another one if i can find one on ebay? our sponsors? if i can't find the same colour, tested with engine on so its not switched off
