Default Lexus LC500

Never been a fan of Jap cars, and always thought Lexus were dull cars bought by dull people (apart from the LFA obviously) but saw this today at the Ignition Festival in Glasgow and rather like it It prompted me to look a bit more into it and I found this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iMK8mDrIehE....that does sound good...beat that in your Tesla Tintin Problem is by the time it depreciates enough for me to afford I will either be dead or dribbling into my comfort blanket smelling of p**s and cabbage in a care home

Default Confused.com?

I don't get it - this car only reaches 150kph???

Easy enough to make that noise - I'd just find the soundtrack on my Tesla screen Spotify app - whilst travelling a bit faster than that ).

It's also a bit weird that the car hardly got into the redline zone - though maybe that's because the V8 sounded better at lower revs....

I'm a fan of both kinds of noise though - the V8 of my s8 and the turbine whine of my Tesla - as I've said to you before, the reason we respond positively to a V8 etc. growl is because of the way our brain associates that with the pleasure of speed etc, rather than the direct pleasure of the noise itself. So it's the same with my Tesla turbine whine - it's thrilling because I associate it with speed etc.

Nah it's like Audi, they restrict it to 155mph

Technical data for the LC 500

PERFORMANCE
Acceleration 0-60 mph (s) 4.4
Acceleration 0-62 mph (s) 4.7
Drag coefficient 0.33
Max. speed (mph) 155

bit slower on the 0 - 62 than yours..oh and I get both the V8 (and V10 too) noise and the whine as well, granted the whining is from the passenger seat usually

Exactly my thought. I guess it's the corporate marketing thing insisting that the god awful grill of Lexus is stuck on.

Brian, a little patience price wise, they depreciate like a working lady of Bangkok on piece work
