Used http://www.paintituk.com/ - nice guys and very professional and helpful.

One of my centre caps is a bit manky so I'm trying to track one down to replace it.

Back on the subject of the interior trim, the pieces which are particularly bugging me to do at the moment are the small rectangle piece near the driver's side air vent and the long strip with 'quattro' badge running above the glovebox.

The following pages I've found are helpful to a point but I don't seem to have the middle bolt that it mentions which you can apparently only see half of so can't remove the air vents:

http://blog.ocarbon.com/2011/02/d2-a...removal-guide/
http://www.audipages.com/Tech_Articl...im_removal.pdf

Has anybody removed theirs or have any tips on how to remove them?

I think the retaining screw for the drivers side air vent is the one you get at up through the hole adjacent to the knee panel mounting clip. I know I accidentally undid mine as I had a "gap" there (no clip).

You can see the hole in the picture Jim posted for me in my "knee panel" thread.
I'll edit the link in here if I can find it...

Up above this hole! Get a small torch out to see what tool it needs (Torx T25 I suspect) http://forum.a8parts.co.uk/attachmen...0&d=1427555424

2016 Volvo V40 T5 Cross Country (4WD) with ALL the toys including adaptive cruise etc. etc. Osmium Grey with Blonde/Charcoal leather interior. Polestar performance "optimisation". (A much rarer model than a D2 S8 by the way!) Oh, and a brand new engine at just under 30,000 miles on the factory one!
Finally: gone, but not forgotten.....
1998 D2 PF S8. AgateGrey/Platinum. Every option (I think) except electric rear seats, tiptronic steering wheel, ski hatch, towbar & dimming door mirrors.
e.g. Cruise control, NavPlus/TV, Bose, GSM, Xenons, Solar roof, Parking sensors, Alcantara/leather everywhere of course. (internal dimming mirror added later)
1998 (very early) Ford Focus 1.8 Zetec; ABS/TCS, Heated screen/mirrors, Aircon, Auto-dim mirror, Leather, Trip computer, Cruise control, OEM Ford SatNav with CD changer.
And before that a lot of Rover 800s, a few oddities, a lovely Triumph Dolomite 1850HL with Overdrive and way back in my schooldays an Austin Seven aka Mini 850!

Default front trims

from memory which is a bit fuzzy so you have to forgive me.....i recall pulling out the driver side and passenger air vents.....once you pull them out, there are retaining screws or clips which you pull out and then the trims come off.

i did it on a pf a8 when i wrapped em in vinyl.....but it was about 4 years ago...hence the fuzzy memory.

Are you going to repaint the rest of your trims in aqua blue? shifter trim and the long dash strips.
I think it looks really good and goes perfectly with the cream leather.

Quick update.

Thanks to the help of Marcin and Scott at the weekend, the remaining trim pieces are now all done. I'm very pleased!
