Gearbox oil change

Just looking to see if anyone would have any recomenations as to
Where best to go for an gearbox oil change in Leicestershire. If anyone could recomend somewhere that would be great it's a job to do on my list.

Hi Steve - I know it's a bit of a drive but personally I would drive across to Chester transmissions for a day and get it done there with their super dooper sucky lumpy squirty thingamabob machine that properly changes all of the oil while pumping in fresh gearbox oil as it removes the old oil fully whilst pumping in the new

Depends if you just want the oil vacuumed and new oil pumped in or if you also want the filter changed and the box and magnets inspected? I have used VMTP in Cannock to do a complete service on mine (just over a year ago).

Chester transmissions still change filters and clean sump and magnets etc as well - the difference is mainly that you don't get all the old oil fully out and replaced unless you have the pump machine - there's a thread here somewhere about Sergey (Notorius) getting his D2 done there if you want to learn more

Chester Transmission and Mackies are cheaper that that (£150-£250), use the proper equipment, do a "proper" job (I've used both of them…), and - last time I checked - both were ZF approved.

I thought I'd take my A8 to Chester Transmissions but their number is 'temporarily out of order'. Has anyone been able to get through recently? I'd like the oil change done fairly soon as I'm off on holiday shortly so any other recommendation within easy reach of Chesterfield?
