Perhaps they should have masked the centre hole as well as the bolt holes when spraying?
And the above post clearly isn't the last I'll have of this problem...

Tried to remove the wheels yesterday to put the 18" S8 wheels back on for a few months as they have new winter tyres, and these 20"s are practically welded on!

Any tips on how to remove them? Trolley jacked the car up then tried gradually winding the jack of death against the wheel to pop it off, but nothing.

Back to the car and kick the tyre on the outside, if that doesn't work a block of soft wood (white pine or similar) and a 4LB mash and hit the inside of the rim.

Whatever method you choose ensure the car is securely supported before you apply brute fore to remove the wheel

If the usual kicking, thumping etc doesn't work slacken the wheel nuts off a bit then go for a wee run round a car park flicking steering left and right till you feel it free off.

Disclaimer I'm not responsible if it goes horribly wrong

Late update on this. Found a sturdier trolley jack and kicked the tyre a few times with no mercy, didn't fancy trying it with the little Halfords trolley jack I have or the jack of death that comes with the car.

Lesson learnt, ensure future wheel refurbishers mask the centre bore hole and stud holes!

Some Copper Slip round the wheel bore centre and hub will prevent then seizing. A thin spread will be fine and won't splatter out when you drive
