Not necessarily, it may not be in such an unhelpful place as not everything is mirrored, far from it. The ECU box for example is very different between LHD and RHD in the D2, nothing like a mirror image.

2003 D2 FL S8. Irish Green Pearl/Beige. Solar sunroof, auto-dim mirrors, electric rear seat functions, ski hatch retrofit; extended leather. Aftermarket DVB-T, reversing camera and full XCarlink (Bluetooth etc.).
2016 Volvo V40 T5 Cross Country (4WD) with ALL the toys including adaptive cruise etc. etc. Osmium Grey with Blonde/Charcoal leather interior. Polestar performance "optimisation". (A much rarer model than a D2 S8 by the way!) Oh, and a brand new engine at just under 30,000 miles on the factory one!
Finally: gone, but not forgotten.....
1998 D2 PF S8. AgateGrey/Platinum. Every option (I think) except electric rear seats, tiptronic steering wheel, ski hatch, towbar & dimming door mirrors.
e.g. Cruise control, NavPlus/TV, Bose, GSM, Xenons, Solar roof, Parking sensors, Alcantara/leather everywhere of course. (internal dimming mirror added later)
1998 (very early) Ford Focus 1.8 Zetec; ABS/TCS, Heated screen/mirrors, Aircon, Auto-dim mirror, Leather, Trip computer, Cruise control, OEM Ford SatNav with CD changer.
And before that a lot of Rover 800s, a few oddities, a lovely Triumph Dolomite 1850HL with Overdrive and way back in my schooldays an Austin Seven aka Mini 850!

I don't know if I should worry or not. Its hard enough to find Botang's hole, no one has found s'gnatob hole yet
On the bright side, I hope that means my hole is sealed with some kind of rubber guide for the cable.

Arrgghh!! I've got saturated carpets front and rear after my car has sat for a week, and through the biblical rain on Thurs night. Water sloshing out of rear vents. My wheel arch drains are always clear. Have I got a Botang problem...?

VAX and carpets out job...grrrr. No problem in 9 years!!

Water out of the rear vents is blocked climate drains, which will make the footwells wet on both sides as it also sloshes out of the main heater box via the ducts which feed the footwells and lower side vents. Thats fairly simple to fix by taking the two centre console panels out and cleaning out the orange tubes.

Botangs hole is water ingress behind the glove box and just drips on to the fusebox on that side.

Only time I've had so much water ingress (inc. water in the rear vents) was due to a blocked centre drain (the one to the rear of the engine compartment).

Same here; blocked main scuttle drains, overflow (carrying crap) into aircon drains, block those, eventually filling up all the pipes and underfloor areas inside the car.

Edit: Not recently - I check and clear those main scuttle drains regularly now.

How high does the water in the scuttle have to get to get in to the AC? Wouldn't it have to be almost full?
