Default "Annual Meet" - Discussion thread

In the absence of any input regarding the A8OC annual meet that was scheduled for the weekend of the 11th / 12th June in the Midlands (possibly warwickshire based) can I suggest that we now make some arrangements to still all meet up that weekend?

If you can all indicate your intention to attend either sat or sun or both days on the list below it would help - we are hoping to put together some firm arrangements in the next week or two so that everyone can at least meet up, talk cars and maybe relax and enjoy the area we are meeting in. It would be also quite useful if we can get a good idea how many hotel rooms everyone needs.

Come on! lets be avin' you!

I would defiantly come/help organise but I'm in Mexico from the 8th-15th June. Is the date set in stone?

Guys,

Two things...

a - It's her birthday, so doubt I'll be allowed

b - The Download Festival is on at Donnington that weekend, so it'll be mobbed.

how about making it a bit further north, maybe around Manchester or that kind of area of the country, guess it makes it kinda in the middle for most areas (apologies to sloss and anyone north of Glasgow/Edinburgh )maybe mean most of us with the generous gene could make it?

I'd also like to see it a little further north. The 'midlands' isn't really central - it's only 100 miles or so north of London

Valid points. Half way between Aberdeen and Cornwall is about Blackpool ish and between Cornwall and Glasgow about Stoke on Trent ish. Maybe alternatives could be suggested and see which would get the greatest turnout?

Yeah it is a valid point, but I thought the reason it was going to be a little further south this year is because it was held in North Yorkshire last year. If it were to be in Manchester area it’s a 5 and half hour drive for me. But Glasgow – Manchester is about the same as Glasgow – North Yorkshire (ish) So I’d be happy to see it a little further south this year.
