Default Trans oil cooler inlet / outlet?

Does anyone know which is the inlet and which is the outlet for the transmission oil cooler? I suspect in at the bottom and out at the top but am really not sure.

Its written on the side of it next to the sockets, although not very easy to see with it in the car. I'll try and remember to check one later if no one has an answer in the next few hours.

I had the oil cooler plastic pipe/union replaced with an aluminium replacement part from the States. Work was done at DS Autowerks in Crawley by Dave Schofield, in March 2017. He took some photos and I've attached the one that I think shows the two inlet/outlet holes. I cannot see any writing or markings on them. I hope this photo helps in some way.

Sorry MikkiJayne but when you say top is inlet are you talking about the top of the oil cooler? (combined oil cooler / radiator.

My mistake, I didn't read the post properly as I got all excited at the mention of an oil cooler.
I've learnt something new today MJ et al - apologies for polluting this thread with wrong information.

As far as I can tell the top hose from the radiator goes to the top connection on the gearbox, so from the radiator the outlet is at the top.

Tbh I've never studied which is which - just connected or disconnected them, but from a poke around mine last night I'm pretty sure the pipes don't cross over.

My intention is to disconnect the hose at the top of the radiator, fit a spare pipe I have and run this to a bucket.
I'll run the pipe I take off to another bucket just in case the flow is the other way around.

I'm trying to flush as much dirty fluid out of the system as possible.

I'll let you know how it goes, hopefully later today.

Keep your fingers crossed for me, if I run the pump dry I'll be in the poo poo.
