Which area and time of day and how far might you wander?
Might I ask which gallery - a friend of mine owns one in the middle of town...

Don't forget the Congestion Charge!

Just round the corner from my friends gallery; Osborne Samuel in Bruton Street.
I'm over 20 miles away just outside the M25 beyond Uxbridge.
A-M is often in the area, but in LA that day as he says above.

As for the congestion zone you MUST check as you'd need to register anyway; if not you WILL get a fine - it's all automated with cameras.

Edit: Registering for a Blue Badge holder costs £10. Same as a 1-day charge paid on the day. Clever.
I think you can pay in advance online: http://www.tfl.gov.uk/roadusers/congestioncharging/

Only licensed private hire vehicles will be exempt. Plus I'm fairly certain you need to separately register your vehicle with the congestion people.

The Blue badge if she has one will be useful for parking at or near the venue's, so ask her to bring that with her...

Yeah, you want to make sure you pay the congestion charge. I got back from holiday in Mexico to find a £50 fine slapped on me for not paying it the congestion charge, totally forgot.

Just checked I'm probably 23 miles by roads, but most of it is the A40 heading West out of London . And I'm going out about 6pm.

But if you're bored, the time suits, and want to call in for tea or coffee you'll be very welcome.

You've probably got my postcode anyway, but I'll PM it and some contact numbers.

Guy,
I have another idea. Why not go to the VAG meet at the Ace Cafe for an hour or so. I would be happy to meet you there straight after work. It will take you about about 45-60 mins to get there, spend a couple of hours quaffing tea and you can head back into town. I'm fairly certain you would be the only W12 there...
