Default Headlight range plastic rod

Hi all
Do we have a solution for this NLA part? 4D0505465G?

Thanks Frank

Two solutions. I prefer to make a new linkage from M6 race car ball joints and some M6 stainless threaded rod. I cut the original ball joint off the metal bracket which goes round the control arm (assuming its salvageable) and bolt the race car joint to it.

The more stock option is to buy an aftermarket sensor for the C5 A6 which usually comes with a new arm. Press out the bushings and ball joints from both arms and press the new ones back in to the original D2 plastic arm.

I never considered that... That's brilliant!

It's normal for MJ. Her 'normal' is our 'brilliant'!

I am planning to do the same thing for mine, as you can see by the picture it is currently sitting together but is in two halves. Looks to have been melted? Is the curve critical or can I be a few degrees / mm's out?

Or are you making a few for general sale??

How odd. Never seen one melted like that - has someone tried to weld it back together?

If you make a set and get the length slightly wrong then the headlights will need to be recalibrated which is simple enough with VCDS.

I can make the balljoint sets on exchange if needed.

I can only guess that is the case. Never been an issue with headlight alignment until it snapped.
