Default W12 sagging rear end

Hello all,

The rear suspension on my w12 has been totally deflated for a few months, havnt had chance to look into it up until now.The front bags are holding air fine, ive not heard the air pump work at all since this issue

Put it on a friends vcds yesterday and we got this code

Address 34:level control labels

VCID: 280AF1E65EF89BB7F65-807C1 Fault Found:00668 - Supply Voltage Terminal 30 009 - Open or Short to Ground Freeze Frame: Fault Status: 11101001 Fault Priority: 2 Fault Frequency: 1 Reset counter: 159 Mileage: 264170 km Time Indication: 0 Date: 2021.06.27 Time: 19:13:49

The "supply voltage terminal 30" is also coming up in a couple of other items on the list

Anyone have a clue as to where I should start looking?

Fuse box. But suspect that will then be followed by the compressor....

Do you mean the fusebox is faulty?

There is a large fuse in the passenger footwell that is for the air compressor. If that has gone, it would explain why you haven't heard the pump. There is also a corresponding relay in there as well. The following thread on another forum shows photos of where they're located, as well as a decent write-up.

Terminal 30 is most likely just battery running low because of sitting for a long time, probably nothing to do with sagging rear but maybe it disabled compressor to save energy. Charge up battery, delete fault codes and see if any new ones pop up.

Terminal 30 is constant 12v, "open or short to ground" means that the module isn't getting 12v, so most likely will be the fuse. From a distant memory, it is a 30a or even 40a, so I suspect the compressor is faulty which caused the fuse to pop. If you could hear it before, that makes me even more suspicious of the pump!!!!

As ainarssems says, the other modules showing "supply voltage low" will be a low battery, but that won't be the cause of the suspension issue, which if the date is correct won't have worked since June?

Its even longer than that,I have a feeling that date in June was when I read the codes with obdeleven and maybe cleared them at the same time obdeleven never came up with this code that vcds has done though,

Thanks everyone for all the replies so far, will have a look and update in next few days
