Default Music setup

Hello,

I have a Mmi 2g, 6 cd changer with the old analogue tv and radio, but it has bose

There is an av1 and av2 setting, but I cannot see any av/aux connectors.

I would like to connect my music via bluetooth or hard drive or aux etc.

I have a parrot bluetooth kit, from a previous car, but I have been told this will not work as the audi has fibre optic setup

Is there an easy and cheap way to do this? Can I use any connections at the back of the cd changer?

Thanks

You are correct, the parrot kit will not work.

The AV1 and AV2 inputs are on the TV Tuner, to utilise them you need to buy a cable set, access the TV tuner and then manually insert the pins from the cable set into the existing connector.

To get music in mine, I retrofitted the official Audi AMI which I now run a small external 320GB HDD with loads of music on it. However due to the £ to Euro situation the price of these has sky rocketed recently.

AMI may require you to upgrade the MMI software depending on the version currently running.

You can also switch out that old analogue TV unit for a freeview one, I did that last year.

I've just got my tv tuner back connected up.... Leads and fusion Bluetooth receiver ordered so hopefully I'll have it connected up soon!

Cost for lead and Bluetooth receiver totals £65...

Thanks Chris,

That's cheap and maybe the next option to try, I'm not good with wires or fuses though
