Default D2 hood vents? or a fiberglass bonnet?

I need help finding stylish ventilation grille to the bonnet= Hood Vents.
To cool down my biturbo engine.

Or does anyone know if there is a fiberglass bonnet to D2 on the market?

I've put the tape on them places where it is not possible to cut holes.
(There is also an reinforcement in the middle of the hood front to back, that I forgot to put tape over on the image.)

Here are the best places to mount grilles/ hood vents on:
But I want it to look neat and original!
I do not want it to look like a teenager has built my car.

Rather than cutting vents, how about raising the rear of the bonnet a little?

It does not work.
You have under pressure at the rear edge of the hood, so the air is sucked in there and not out.

Additionally, you will then receive all engine fumes and the heat through the ventilation and into the cabin!

It might be okay on a drag racing car.
But it is not so fun if you run longer than 402 meters.

Maybe something like these two vents will be okay?

How about a custom grill scoop between the two air scoops for the engine?
You could make a plug out of wood and build it up with carbon fibre and finishing resin, not difficult. Or two scoops from the sides of the grill, I'm not sure which part you are trying to cool.

The black mamba ones look nice though.

I'm not sure how you mean.
But I don't need more air into the engine, Instead I want to get out all the hot air from the engine compartment.
Thus all the hot air that lies above the engine, under the hood = where I have my RS6 air box.

Perhaps a flat tube that starts at the grill, narrows gently and exits somewhere under the car, with some holes in the appropriate places to draw air out of the engine bay might work. The air moving through the tube and hopefully speeding up (because of the narrowing diameter) should create a gentle vacuum and draw any 'static' air into the tube through holes in the middle. It would need testing I don't know fluid dynamics.

Something like this? I could of course be talking complete rubbish
Or more radiators? any room for more radiators?

I have cut away some reinforcements on the inside of the hood only to be able to fit the RS6 air box, but it is still touching the hood.
so I do not know how this tube would fit above the engine?
Nor how to get it down behind the engine?

I don't think even a standard S8 will have room for a flat tube above the engine.

And I don't need more radiators, all I want is to get away the heated air in the engine compartment, because it heats up my airbox and everything else.

So the best solution is some type of hood vents.

I was hoping to get some flavor advice on different hood vents that will fit D2 on this forum, but so far no one has come up with any suggestions?

MG traditional hood vents formed from the hood metal? Too difficult to make probably.

http://www.britishv8.org/MG/TerrySch...Schulte-FG.jpg

or body colour vents similar to carbon ones you posted before:

http://media.caranddriver.com/images...s-1280x782.jpg

To me at least body colour vents look more oem and less garish. Even better if they can be blended with body filler into the hood so they look like they are one part.

Also, you could try covering the airboxes in aerogel insulation to isolate them from engine bay heat.
