Default Self-driving shuttle bus crash

Is this really much of a story and is the title worded as click-bait? There are many crashes every day which go unreported. I could understand if someone was injured or there was a major fault with the driverless vehicle but it seems neither of these were an issue!

Some of the comments are just pure comedy though...

“A delivery truck was coming out of an alley,” public information officer Jace Radke said.

"The shuttle did what it was supposed to do and stopped. Unfortunately the human element, the driver of the truck, didn’t stop.”
So it wasn't even at fault. Perhaps the headline should've been: "Careless truck driver drives into a stationary self-driving shuttle bus on its first day out". Seems like the beeb wanted to sensationalise the headline a little.

Even if it had've been at fault, a you say Pete, there are countless similar accidents every day caused by human error. The problem is that the press, and people in general, like to find fault in anything new. They're waiting for the slightest imperfection to be able to say "ha, ha it failed!".

.....
Come on Mark! No editor got anywhere with the headline "Small earthquake in Peru. No one hurt."

May be one of those apocryphal stories, but allegedly the headline in the Aberdeen Press and Journal the day after the Titanic sank was “Aberdeen Man Lost at Sea”

Thinking back to the 70s/80s TV news reports of incidents such as plane crashes in foreign countries, I seem to remember the newscaster would often end with "no British people were injured/killed in the accident", as if to imply "it's ok, it was just a bunch of foreigners". Am I remembering that correctly? And is it something that they still say (I rarely ever watch the News)?
