Default What to do?

It has been a while since my last post, as life’s taken over a bit! A shame that it’s about something so unfortunate.

So someone misjudged a gap and drove into the A8 a couple of weeks ago. Predictably, the quotes to repair are rather high, and the insurance company sees it as a total loss.
I’m not sure what to do. Buy it back and repair it? The car would obviously be catagorised. Or do I break it for parts? Seems such a shame to see a modern classic like the D2 go that way. Especially one that has such a history on the forum.
