Capped nuts spinning
With the front bumper off I thought I'd take my lights out and do something bits and I wanted to do.
I was able to remove some of the bolts but noticed that a couple of the nuts that's pressed in to the front slam panel are just spinning. I can get them out with the help of some mole grips but I need to replace the capped nuts. Anyone know how to replace them with out breaking the panel?

I tried, I can't get near the spinning nuts without taking the bumper off again.

They are hard to into. Next time the bumper is off and I have more time I will give it another go.

rivnuts can be a bit of a pain to fit if you havent got the right tool to prevent it spinning. its possible to fit them with a couple of nuts on a bolt to provide the right tension, but if you stop tightening a little early you will be left once more with a spinning rivnut!
it might be worth your while either practising on a bit of scrap or buying/renting the correct tool.

Been watching youtube videos and it seems straight forward enough when they are doing it on the bench and not in a engine bay.
Chatting to a friend the other night about them and he said they use to use them work and they might still have the tool to fit them. He's going to have a look for me. If he has I'll pop over, strip the front end and replace them.
