I've burnt it onto a single layer Verbatim DVD-R and 2x speed which is the slowest I could select.

Since WE and EE are now split the DVD contains less data than before, so maybe that will help, maybe it won't.

As far as I know West and Eastern Europe have always been split over 2 DVDs Manny.

I'd try with a dual layer DVD that's got a surface you can print on, that doesn't let light through if you still have problems. Failing that default to the original DVD that came with the car.

I've actually been running with a genuine 2009 DVD in my 2004 for a few years without any problem, well except the missing new build roads which mean I either end up taking a slower route or driving across a field on the nav. For example between Peterborough and Boston, the modified A16 is missing completely so the Audi Nav wants to go via Market Deeping rather than the new A16.

Far from ideal I know. Friend of mine with an A6 has the same problem, but I've not got hold of any dual layer discs that aren't translucent to burn for him yet. I'd be interested to, to see if it's a viable solution.

Does anyone have a quick link for the latest SW please?

I went to GPS Underground but just has a login with no register info.

Just want to get the iso and burn it to a DVD.

Does anyone know if a particular type of dvd is required? (R+/R-, etc.,)

Thanks
