Default Reconditioned calipers

As some of you may recall, I had my front calipers reconditioned and painted some time ago by Brake Calipers Specialists in Long Easton, Nottingham. Apart from taking far longer than promised, they have been fine (touch wood!).

At the begining of last year, I had the rear ones done as well. What a disaster! One of them had to be returned as the thread on one of the bleed nipples had been crossed and my garage didn't want to risk forcing it. Then the other had to be returned as it sprang a leak! And they were very mean with compensation - refusing point blank to compensate for all the additional removal and refitting that the garage had to do.

I finally got them back in March last year - and now one of them has a stuck piston, so it has to go back yet again, under their 2 year guarantee, with more garage labour costs to be incurred.

So, in case you're looking for a calipers refurbished, see the thread by DavidS8 - he went to another company and has been very impressed!

I'll keep an eye on mine. I had my rears done by those guys, and have been very pleased so far. As you know, my fronts were also done by them, and still going strong. Zip
