B1- bank 1 = bank with cylinder 1 = right side of car as you sit in
S1 sensor 1= pre-cat sensor

Is W12 running on 2 ECU's? That might mean there are bank 1 and 2 for each ECU so you would need to know which ECU is error from. And on W12 sensors are probably hidden somewhere not easily accessible.

My advise is change both banks together, they both have lived there for the same time, just a matter of time before the other one goes.Thats my experience of it.

Default Pre cat o2 sensor

The sensor lives just after manifold in the down pipe...not sure about w12 however with the v8 on d2s it is normally difficult to see but if u follow the wiring down from the connector which is normally at the back of the engine bay you should be able to feel it...taking the down pipe off his a real pig...so find someone who can change it insitu....otherwise could become a pricey replacement....btw I know it is a w12 but is the fuel economy down is it running kinda rough???? Just curious to know he effect...

you can change 2 lambdas that you can see if you look down the side of each bank, you will more than likely find that a bottle of cataclean will fix this and the light will turn itself off after around 150 miles or plenty of start stops after a long run to clear it out, bank one is driver side, they are not to bad to change and i found an ebay shop that dose parts cheap to, lambdas are about 80 quid each

also did the W12 that A8 parts have not get broken because of the lambda and cats failing ? and the lambdas are on ebay for sale ?
