Default W12 sport seats - electric headrest question?

Something that has always bugged me...the drivers headrest does not go down as far as the passenger one...is that normal?

The gap between the bottom of the headrest and the top of the seat is larger on the driver side.

They both work on the motor - up/down with no problems...it's just that the drivers one does not drop down as far as the passenger one and so the headrest is just a little too high for me to rest my head on comfortably.

It maybe designed that way...I mean if I rested my head I could easily fall asleep.

Adaptive cruise helps but I still have to be awake to turn the corners!

Thanks & kind regards,

Are your seats comparable to mine ?

These should compare to the typical seats in a S8.

If they are, I can check out later this day.

What I can tell you, is that you have to adjust the headrest so that the upper end of the headrest at least lines with the pointy part of your ears, Mr. Spock. Other theories even have it lined up with the upper end of your skull.
You'd have to be exceptionally small to worry about the lower end of adjustability; it is more a concern with kids.

Thanks to you I found something new to be bothered of:

My driver sides headrest goes down full way, but the passengers side headrest leaves 4 centimeters of rails exposed and doesn't move further down.

Some kind of calibration problem, I guess.

with yours being LHD then it sounds like a common thing to happen if one car occurs on a RHD car and the other a LHD car on opposites then maybe is common ?

Have you tried moving the seat all the way back and forward?

If you have the seat moved back as far as possible and the headrest as high up as possible, then move the seat forward without lowering the headrest, the car does it automatically as the seat slides forward (almost like it thinks the headrest will rub on the roof of the car as the seat slides forward).

I can make a video of this if it doesn't make sense
