Ordered some Yellowstuff pads for my front brakes which came today. They are enormous! Will be fitted next week while being MOTd.

If I remember correctly they are, but are W12 A8 and Phaeton discs the same size as S8? I specified S8 D3 pads but the ID label on the box says Audi A8 / VW Phaeton

That's correct, the 385mm calipers on the W12 and S8 are based on the 360mm caliper from the A8 and Phaeton. All share the same pistons, seals, etc... and the same size pads.

I just wanted to update, I went with OEM pads in the end, simply because I got them at 50% discount so it seemed silly to pass!

Next change I'll probably need new discs as well so may go with a different supplier for both then.

I tried yellow stuff pads in a D3 and I have to say wasn't impressed. Slightly better braking but only when warm, and loads upon loads of brake dust, and also seemed to go through them quickly compared to normally - thumbs down from me
