Default door jamed

hi peeps hope everyone is having a nice holiday and looking forward to the new year
Couple of things need some advice on, firstly is there any preventive measure one can take to stop the doors from jamming due to cold weather? my passenger door would not open today and it is not even -C!
Secondly my car has started to hesitate to start last few weeks first thing, is that an early sign of battery?

thanks

Try Gummi Pflege for the door seal rubbers. It soaks into the rubber to keep it soft and also stops it sticking to the door.

I'd reommend Gummi Pflege too. I got a bit carried away and did everything. Doors, windows, sunroof glass frame, boot rubber, the lot.

Where you say hesitate .......
Slow to crank over
Cranks over good but takes time to fire
Does not crank over when button pressed
Obviously cold weather does affect the battery performance somewhat

Yes, a slow/delayed crank upon start up is a design feature..... you are saying yours is worse than 2-3 secs?

sorry bit late in responding. Yes its like a chesty cough the dash etc flickers and then eventually starts but it does struggle. If i was to leave it for few days i think it would not start if that makes sense.

Given my own recent experience, I think it sounds like a battery on its last legs. I would replace it personally unless the battery is less than 2 years old.
