It's too easy to jump in with the old 'big business are ripping us off' gripe. Of course they are. They like any sensible business will get the maximum they can for their product. And I'm betting that you do the same.
Do you tell your boss "noooo I don't need more money for my input here. Pay me less."
Answering Rays point about why cancelling supplies, when we only source about 3% from the Rusky Bear, can cause prices to increase so dramatically here.
Well, we source our oil in the same market as the rest of the world, and the rest of the world are also looking to replace the oil they formerly get from Pudding Putin. So along with the increased demand as countries top up reserves (there is a war on or whateveryoucallit), plus replacing what they can't get from the Rampaging Czar. Everyone is chasing more oil from a smaller pool.

With less supply and more demand, which way do you thing prices will go.

Things could really be much worse. I've seen the Murdering Dictator waving his nuclear missile (what a nice man). Lets just accept that this is not a case of the normal corporate greed, but its the result of war or whateveryercalling it.

LOL saw a picture of the insane crowds in a Russian Ikea on the day before it closed. Didn't look any different to an ordinary day at my local Ikea.

It's very expensive here in Sweden as well. Never seen it this high.
I bought 1500 litres for 19138 SEK (12750 SEK/m3) back early October.
Today it costs 18890 kr/m3. (£1473) Almost 50% higher.

edit:
Another massive price bump

Just put £99 of Momentum in the S8 (still not full obviously but that's the limit) at £168.9p/litre.
First drive ANYWHERE in ages, just reminded me what a joy it is to be in a D2.

I was taking SWMBO to the hairdressers, an activity a mere male doesn't EVER ask the price of......

Prices still creeping up. Esso Supreme + diesel 188.9p today, so 54.43 litres has just cost £102.82. Ouch.

Unhappy

About 2 weeks ago, I got chatting to a guy at my local Shell garage. His sister had sent him a photo of a fuel price sign outside a station in deepest Kent.

£2.06 for 95RON…..
