Where was this from, price, photos/graphs?
Why is 20% the limit on a remap on a turbo diesel or petrol for that matter? Take a look on you tube these engines have been taken up to 420 bhp and 1000 nm and still reliable.
As for price it cost nothing because I did the work, including the dpf removal and a friend of mine dino checked it and trimmed the fueling to suit the engine. I own a modest workshop in Newcastle where we specialise in German cars. We use TD tuning maps for our customers vehicles which aren't generic but built per car and can be adjusted to suit customer needs if required.

DPF is a visual inspection only at the moment on an MOT test, so as long as the DPF canister is still part of the exhaust system and the car passes the emission test the car will pass the test. I have a large number of customers who've had them removed and they pass an Mot every time.

Doubling the torque would result in 1300 nm????? It's not a semi auto its a fully automatic gearbox with a switchable valve body and it is rated to 1200 nm as standard.

If a proper DPF check comes in, it'll scrap a lot of cars in a couple of years where the DPF costs more than the car is worth.. it's £2500 from Audi for a pair apparently! (fitted) for mine.

I've done about 6k since I had mine done, and a gearbox service in the middle and it's quite happy, no gearbox niggles to report.
