Default Stock 19" D3 to 19" R8 wheels

Stock 5 spoke 19" 9J 255/40/19 to R8 19" wheels 8.5/11J, do you reckon the performance will suffer badly even of if I match the rolling radius? Hmm

They are the stock R8 wheels from the early R8, I decided to abandon the idea as I'm thinking it would compromise performance over style, unsprung mass would have probably gone up and killed acceleration, I bought some new vredestein tyres instead of the alloys for the stock 19" 5 spoke wheels, looking forward to having them fitted as I've heard good things.

I looked into this as well.

You can use the front R8 wheels which I believe are a 8.5j x 19 with a ET45.

My biggest concern was whether they could handle the weight and not buckle... can't remember the load rating of the wheel but it's advisable to check.

There are plenty of the early R8 wheels on ebay and they are really cheap.
