Well I'm back to earth with a bump having had a great weekend in Germany. I had a ball over the four days, though next year we must avoid the Friday traffic jams if possible. Great to meet up with Mike and Darren, plus better halves and have good chuckle. Lots of miles covered, mostly at enhanced pace, and a great chance to stretch the cars legs, I hit 151mph on the autobahn going home
Driving on the Nordschleife was its usual mixture of adrenaline, pleasure and fear of stuffing it. I didn't need my spare brakes this time, but the tyres got a toasting. Still on a bit of a high from the 4 days, but well and truly anchored to my desk. I took off on Monday evening to come back early to UK and had a great high speed run home that kept the tiredness at bay. Got to Calais in well under 4 hours having averaged 83mph and one flash from a speed camera in Belgium.
Was prompted to post today when I found this video of a aluminium super limo getting it wrong.
