looking to purchase a facelift car 2007 onwards
Hi
looking to purchase a facelift a8 3.0 tdi sport square fogs. i have around 13k to spend and looking for sub 80k miles or less if possible. what should i be looking out for ? is the facelift much different to earlier cars did they iron out any issues. is mmi3g much better than mmi2g ?

Can't help with your question, I'm afraid as I'm a D2 guy (there is a buyer's guide for a D2 somewhere), but I thought I'd give this a 'bump' to see if any of the D3 folks (Ian, are you there?) might come along.....

Current mods: solar sun roof, 20mm rear spacers, 15 mm on front, red brembo callipers, 6k headlights, rear view camera, engine remap, alloy dash dial rings, alloy navi rings, tt/phaeton pedal upgrade, (and custom matching foot rest) dension ipod interface & parrot hands free kit (both fully hidden), av input, tv in motion switched thro' PF switch in blanking plug right of steering column, Audi 'quattro' sill covers, repositioned centre console switches, radio clock, .Planned mods: auto-dimming rear view mirror, dash cam (as steamship's), fit the ski hatch, refit philips drl's (or maybe not - nope, definitely not - horrible botch!).

MMI3G is better than 2G..
The FL is mechanically and essentially electrically the same as the PF, so the issues would still be the same, but the D3 is a pretty reliable car in general. 13k might get you a 4.2TDi.. but you should be able to get a good spec 3.0TDi or 4.2 petrol for that.

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classifi...true?logcode=p is one.. You searching for A8's? Some won't mention Bose as it's a pretty common option.. You're looking for the little silver logo in the corner of the speakers. Or it may have B&O

Sports spec is nice... But you'll probably find more toys in an upgraded SE.. The suspension is a little firmer and lower, but you can lower it using VCDS anyway.
my PF had sport suspension and seats, and I don't miss them.

quite like the look of this one but vastly overpriced
