Don't encourage him

But I do agree you should use that red S8 for special occasions and weekends. Keep it pristine.

An absolute stunner Dean... and there's no harm in having a 3rd Audi.

Hard to believe from those engine photos that the car has ever been used.

A difficult decision with the three cars you now have. I'd keep the S8 and this one for those 'special days', and use 'Big Red' for the daily.

It's such a dark green. Almost black if the sun isn't shining on it. It would never be my first choice but I am sure it will grow on me.

That's a very good idea! I'm going to look into that.

It was a short term run around and I only paid about £1400 from some guy down in Plymouth. Think the only think that went with it was the ECU, but it was a while ago!

Nice car, I liked mine, even though I didn't have it long.
I think history will repeat itself again around this old town.

In an ideal world.... but it doesn't seem right having two cars that look so much alike. I'm set on Big Red finding a new home. She will be missed as she runs perfectly after MJ's wizardry.

Still not sure whether to get a cheapie for daily stuff though. I'll decide after the weekend I think.

If Big Red is set to go, then I'd definitely find a cheapie to run as a daily. I've SORNed my D2 with the intention of trying to revive it to some of its former glory (having used and abused it for four years), and have the S8 for 'special days'. As for a cheapie daily car, I ended up buying the D3 that IT was selling a couple of months back, as it was cheaper than anything else I could find. A lot comfortable as well.

My first thought when I saw the engine room was. Looks like MJ has been working on this car.
Then I see her speechless. That was a brilliant comment by the way MJ

A very good find Dean. Looks to me that you are a magnet attracting cars in mint condition. Surely have the right vibrations by the look of it

Mate, mate, mate...

That is in unbelievably good condition!
Amazing in fact for a C4 today!

However, you've given yourself a real dilemma!

2.6... lovely engine, know it well. It is every bit as bulletproof as the 4.2.
Compared to the 5V 2.8 in Big Red though, I can't imagine it is as powerful, or economical.
So you have no advantage there.

Then you have the runabout factor! Two cars with low milage and immaculate interiors! Which one is going to be the runabout?
Sad to say it, but there's no collector status on the C4. The S8 is the one to garage!
But the C4 vs Big Red? I'd use Big Red as my daily given that choice!

One thing I noticed:
Does it have green coolant? Audi would never have put that in the car!
