Handily their high capacity guttering is identical to old Marley stuff, which was what our house had from new 30 years ago.

Ours needed painting and since it was as much effort to get up there and do that as cover it up we figured doing it once was a bonus!

How it looks up - the soffits on our house were just 3 strips of timber with air gaps between so some of the fancier trims we couldn't use as the air vents in them wouldn't match up with what was there, so we went for the cheapest board option then bored a load of holes for ventilators - making sure we were between the joists!



Access down the side of the house not great, especially when your 1m wide tower won't go past the ends of the eaves! Also couldn't get it right to the peak of the roof down the side (7.5m up!) The previous owners had had the house painted, but they didn't fancy getting right to the top, hence the original dirty white colour being painted over by my dad



I'm not a fan of heights by any means, but with a decent access tower or scaffolding I'd have no worries about doing the job again. Couple of things I'd do differently if I do it again on another house, but nothing major.
