Default Turned aircon off when waiting at traffic lights, then won't stay running?

As tittle suggest I was in drive with the brake on, turned aircon off and then the whole car died and I went to start her up again, it started fine then died 3 seconds after. I could keep it running if I kept my foot on/off the accelerator.

I disconnected the battery after checking the bay over and the usual panic checks. No faults loved and that's seemed to have fixed the car. Like it never happened.

Any reason this would have done it?

Help fellas.

The D3 certainly has electronic bugs that seem to occasionally result in having to disconnect and reconnect the battery.

I had one with the MMI, one moment it was fine and then it kept rebooting and carried on doing this even after leaving the car for an hour. Disconnecting the battery fixed this and the car has been fine ever since (more than 18 months).

Cars these days should come with power cycle/reboot buttons as standard.

Are Audis designed by Microsoft?

If you have a problem do the following:-
1 Stop
2 Close the windows
3 Restart
4 Open the windows
5 Everything will be working OK

God if you guys think cars are bad you should try the ROVs we use, they are built by Schilling robotics but we nick named them Schilling rebootix, from power down to back up and running takes up to 12mins but quite often takes 2-5 reboots to get everything working.

Could you imagine if our cars behaved the same way?

As to your fault I can offer no plausible reason for problem you experienced
