This sounds like an epic trip, I have just had a look at all the places you are visiting and via google maps, how many miles are you doing in total and what are your projected fuel costs? I bet your going to see some amazing scenery. Look forward to your report when you come back as may plan a similar trip myself

Will be good to see the pics from your trip fella, sounds like you're having an awesome time, and I'm sure there are plenty of us who're jealous

Well, back in the UK and back at work (worst part of any holiday).

As a sad git, I took pics of my dash so that whenever I fueled up I had a record of mileage etc and also what the MPG was showing.

Didn't get to do the Stelvio Pass as the wife was adamant that we would not do it, so went the normal route, but got a couple of nice shots all the same.

Might add some of the holiday snaps, but who wants to see those (normally just family who have no choice).

OK then, a few from the dash have already been put up, so here are a few more:

Over the Alps:

A few of the car in the Alps:

Strasbourg:

Outside the Hotel at Strasbourg (Fantastic city, so clean and the buildings are great - well worth a visit):

Not got any of Fireneze (Florence) - wasn't too struck with the place though - a bit grubby, but some fine architecture.

Next, Mougins, were we had a villa for 7 days - another fantastic place:

No pics of the Cannes or Monaco trips I'm afraid (well none of my car) - at Monaco, me and the family went on a Helicopter ride around Monaco - superb is all I can say.
Football match was on when we visited so struggled to get a parking place - managed to get one near the heliport and shown by a man where to park - loads of chained off areas with covered cars and near where we parked, was a sign saying reserverd for royal cars.............

Next, Mougins to Lyons:

Lyons to Calais:

And finally home:

For costs and stats:

Plus toll roads came to about 150 Euro's so about £130.

All-in-all, cheaper than flying!!!!!

Some good memories (and piccies) and will probably do it again soon (did it last year to Nimes (south of France), but didn't keep a record for that one!

(Check the temperatures in the pics too - in Florence, was at 39C........)

Cheers

Looks like you had a superb time Thanks for posting it all up.

I'm really jealous of your MPG figures, especially with Vpower topping £1.10/litre now... but we cant have everything, can we...?

Tended to be the same price as the UK in Europe - more so on the Motorways.....

Still not to bad though - would image in an S8, it would have cost alot more
