Xenons/Bi-Xenons

my car had headlamp washers but no xenons originally Adrian - the projectors look exactly the same as standard xenons, so check inside the engine bay and see if you have the ignitor boxes on the back of the headlights (silver box the size of a cigarette package). I retrofitted Amars standard xenons to mine when he upgraded his to Xenon pluses and was hugely impressed with the improvement in light output and colour over the standard projectors, but I do prefer the look of the standard projectors/xenons to the xenon pluses from a sidelight point of view

have got hold of the full spec list for the car in question - the lookup link in the sticky section was very useful

Here's the 2 things that I think means I am ready to rock with this car next week :

8JJ = Headlight with gas discharge lamp for driving on the left
8Q3 = Automatic headlight-range adjustment dynamic (self-adjusting while driving)

So this says to me normal (not bi) xenon ??

Yup.. Normal Xenons I'd say.

went for a second viewing and they are definitely xenons - the yellow high voltage stickers are all present and correct so the car matches the spec sheet

Does anyone have a couple of good photos of Xenon and Bi-Xenon headlights for comparison? I'm interested to see what's common and what's different.

they are the Xenon pluses of course, but the xenons look almost identical to the normal projection headlights - here is a "before" of mine -



and here is an "after" when I converted to Xenons.



The difference from standard projection lights was amazing but I prefer the look of the standard Xenons to the plusses, purely because I dont like the little sidelights they have positioned up in the "cross-eyed" position!!
