I'll get those ones.
Maybe I even have an anodised Audi nut in my box of parts.
The strange thing is, when I (gently) tested the hole with a small allen key, it felt like there are threads in there. But the diagram definitely shows a nut on the end of that bolt.
I guess I'll find out when the bolt arrives.

I was definitely thinking of a different application of the 01E when I was waffling about the T-head bolt sorry I've just checked a proper S8 gearbox and it has the boss for the M10x60 socket head bolt per Etka.

I'll get my coat...

I am sure the T-head would have been fine too.

Now I'm curious about the diagram which shows a nut on that machine head bolt, but on my car there seems to be a thread in the block
Or maybe the nut is on the other side, its just corroded on
